Maria Laffin – R. TCMP, R. Ac, BA
Maria is a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Registered Acupuncturist, owner and founder of Acupuncture For Good, with vast training, experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and is in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CTCPMAO). She studied at Eight Branches, one of the top Traditional Chinese Medicine colleges in Toronto.

Maria has an integrative approach to her treatments. She believes in incorporating multiple TCM modalities, such as herbal therapy, cupping, gua sha, tuina, moxibustion, scalp acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, and TCM nutrition as needed. In addition to TCM modalities, she incorporates breathing techniques and relaxation exercises in order to maximize the treatment outcome. Maria’s needling technique is precise, gentle, and comfortable.

Maria has had advanced training in scalp acupuncture for neurological and psychosomatic disorders with Suzanne Robidoux.

Maria also loves performing facial acupuncture and she has advanced training in cosmetic/facial acupuncture.

Using her past experience as a qualitative researcher, Maria believes that listening attentively to her patient’s health issues is key to delivering a gentle acupuncture treatment, helping with the healing process, identifying other hidden health issues, and optimizing treatment.

Her passion for acupuncture and TCM started here in Canada, but from a young age, Maria was exposed to natural healing through her mother’s and grandmother’s teachings in Brazil. Bridging the gap and understanding the commonalities between the two ancient forms of medicine has helped Maria to help her patients.

Maria speaks English and Portuguese fluently.
